When it comes to multiple choice tests there are many tips and hints that are very helpful. This video will explain some helpful ideas behind taking multiple choice tests. It is very important to know how long you have on the test. That way you can know how you should pace yourself. There are tips, hints, and other things embedded in the test that will help you know which answer is the right answer. While taking the test hide the questions so your answers will be your own personal answers and not influenced by the answers you will see posted on the test. Eliminate the answers you know are not right. If you have the option to write on the test, cross them out. Treat each option as a true false answer. Answers with the words "every" and "always" are normally less true. Answers with words like "sometimes" tend to be correct. Stick to your first answer unless you have clear evidence that it is incorrect. If still struggling, meet with your professor.

While in college there are several study tips that can benefit you as a student. Some of the following notes have really helped me personally as a student and brought me success.
1. Use a planner. As you use a planner you are more organized about what is going on in your life and can better manage your tasks. 2. Find a good study location. It is important to have a location where you can focus and get your work done. Many locations can have distractions and that makes it hard to get your work done. 3. Check out student centers. Every university has a student center with people that can help in specific areas. 4. Don't Procrastinate. Procrastinating is something that every student is affected by. When we overcome procrastinating it allows us to have less stress and we are able to manage our work. 5. Get realistic with your work. Have perspective. If you like studying with flashcards stick to that. If you need to write a list of notes, stick to that. Find your study technique that works for you and stick to it. 6. Visit learning center. Every college has learning centers specifically for helping students. Set up an appointment with a counselor and you can discuss your work. 7. Do not study in your own room. Find a good environment. Find a space where you can study without any distractions. Your own room is not the best place to study. Find somewhere you can relax and focus and get your work done. 8. Go to professors office hours to talk with them. Professors can help you with any points that you didn't understand. Most teachers have set aside time to help students during that time. 9. Go to your classes. Go to class and get all the information you can about the course. The teacher will guide you in the direction toward a good grade. 10. Get the toughest stuff done first. Manage your assignments. Get the hardest things done first then move to the easier tasks. |

Anthony Robbins shows ways to become more motivated. A lot of times in life we are so close to having success yet we feel so far. I have realized that especially with the sport of baseball. When batting, if you foul the ball off straight back that means you are literally millimeters away from hitting the ball with great precision. It is the same way in life. We are only millimeters away from finding success and making it happen. Throughout College we need to work hard and make those simple changes that will allow us to be great instead of just good. With simple changes, big things will happen and we can find success everyday.
"When it seems impossible, when it seems like nothing is going to work, you're usually just a few millimeters away from making it happen." - Anthony Robbins |
